houston executive airport
Houston Executive Airport is a newly-developed private airport located west of Houston, between Katy and Brookshire, and serving the burgeoning west Houston Energy Corridor. First opened in 2006, the singular vision of HEA's owner has been to provide a first-class corporate aviation facility with runway capacity for the largest of business jets.
The project, implemented in two phases, consists of a large aircraft hangar and a terminal building, both designed with strong references to traditional aviation-related architecture. From the vaulted hangar roof, to the large expanses of glass in the terminal's waiting lounge, an evocation of aviation's Golden Age romance with flight is captured. The terminal building includes corporate meeting facilities, administrative offices, an extensive state-of-the-art Pilot's lounge and FBO maintenance facilities. The prominent aircraft arrival canopy is a signature feature and, at the time of opening, the largest of its kind in the nation.
