neff elementary school
A new, ground-up elementary school for the Houston Independent School District. Built as part of the 2007 Bond program, this expansion school was located on the grounds of the existing Sharpstown Middle School to relieve the over-populated original Neff Elementary.

The school is 86,000 square feet on two levels and includes unique features such as a Multi-purpose room with a theater-in-the-round type of arrangement and shared food-preparation facilities with the adjacent middle school.  The Library, breaking with standard practice, is located on the second floor and serves as a key design feature.  Through use of extensive glass, sun-shading devices, color, and light, it serves as an open and welcoming beacon for the community.
