sledge house additions & renovations
A classic bungalow built in the 1930s, this house had, some years back, an attempt to convert the attic into a livable space. A circular stair in the foyer was the only access to it. The spaces were small and tight and the air too hot. For many years, the attic "living" area was used mainly for storage.

This time around, the Owner, a chef, commissioned us to not only bring the attic to a real livable space but also to redesign the kitchen/breakfast/utility area located at the back of the house to be a more functioning "Chef's" kitchen.

A small addition in the back extended the kitchen and utility rooms and included a new stair for easy access to the attic. The attic, used as a Master Bedroom, contains a new bathroom, bar, and study. A first floor deck and a second floor deck were also added as part of the design.
